Designing the whole journey, not just the screen.
A gamified to-do app that connects everyday tasks with caring for a virtual pet. Completing tasks earns points that users can spend on food and pet care, making progress visible through a continuing reward loop.
Making the next step clear.
Everyday to-do lists can feel repetitive, so the project explored whether caring for a virtual pet could make task completion more rewarding. The challenge was to keep tasks easy to understand while making rewards feel connected to real progress.
A simple process guided by the product’s core needs.
I explored the visual direction in Figma and designed the interface, pet illustrations, and assets around a simple task-to-reward loop. Clear points, pet states, and care actions helped connect completed tasks with visible progress without distracting from the task itself.
A clear loop from intent to feedback.
The team used React Native to connect task creation and completion with points, food, and pet care. My contribution focused on UI design and illustration, creating a consistent visual experience that makes the progression system easy to follow.
What was checked—and what still needs real users.
The team reviewed the prototype and working features, adjusting the scope to preserve the core task-and-pet loop. Future user testing would examine whether rewards support routines, how clearly pet states communicate progress, and whether the experience is accessible.
The project produced a prototype and team-built experience linking completed tasks with pet progression. It explores a more engaging feedback loop through UI design and illustration; its effect on productivity has not yet been measured.
