A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Katy, a product designer who believes good digital design should not only be aesthetically pleasing and well structured but also intuitive, accessible, and inclusive for the people using it.

I design with compassion and curiosity, with a strong interest in understanding how people think, feel, and interpret the interfaces in front of them. My goal is to turn complex ideas into simple, meaningful pieces of information, creating digital experiences that help people feel understood, confident, and comfortable regardless of their background, abilities, or familiarity with technology.

Website Designer and Developer

SFU GENESIS

  • Designing and iterating on the organization’s website with a focus on responsive UI, accessibility, intuitive navigation, and information hierarchy.
  • Translating stakeholder requirements into user-centered interfaces and refining designs through feedback.

Graphic Design Marketing Intern

Fraser Health Authority

  • Collaborated with physicians and program coordinators to design infographic posters, translating complex medical information and project findings into clear, accessible visuals for physician training and presentations.
  • Designed and proposed a Canvas-based Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) course, developing its structure, content hierarchy, navigation, and overall user experience.
  • Contributed to the funding and implementation proposal presented to Fraser Health, which was approved and moved into implementation.
  • Created UI concepts and supporting materials in Figma and Canva to improve physician navigation and accessibility.
