Designing the whole journey, not just the screen.
A pet adoption platform that brings pet discovery, applications, and status tracking into one clear journey, with an administrative dashboard to help staff manage submissions and updates.
Making the next step clear.
Pet adoption can feel overwhelming when listings, application steps, and status updates are difficult to navigate. The design focused on helping adopters find suitable pets, understand their next step, and stay informed while giving staff an organized way to review applications.
A simple process guided by the product’s core needs.
I used wireframes and interface designs in Figma to prioritize pet browsing, focused search, and clear application steps. These decisions connected the adopter journey with the staff dashboard so both sides could follow the same application process.
A clear loop from intent to feedback.
The team built a responsive application using React, Node.js, and MongoDB. Adopters can discover pets, apply, and track their application through an account, while staff can review submissions, contact applicants, and update their status.
What was checked—and what still needs real users.
The team checked responsive layouts, search filters, and the adopter and admin workflows, refining the experience through implementation feedback. Formal user testing remains a next step to assess application clarity, status labels, and ease of review.
The team shipped a working experience connecting pet discovery, applications, status tracking, and staff review. The project aims to make adoption feel clearer and less intimidating, with a focus on supporting both adopters and staff throughout the journey.
